Liz Bint
I am an acrylic and resin artist working from my studio at Peppermint Grove Beach in the south west of Western Australia. The beautiful pristine beaches of the south west provide much of the inspiration for my work. I am able to spend some time at our beaches enjoying all they have to offer and photographing from all angles.
In my studio I have produced two series of work with the beach as its focus. The first series is the ‘Oceans Collection’ and is created by using a fluid pour and swipe technique with acrylic paint. Once the paint has dried the works are coated in clear resin.
The second series is my ‘From the Drone Collection’ and gains inspiration from drone photography of our beach. These paintings are made by tinting resin with paints and inks and layering the board to create the waves that seem so realistic. I also paint landscapes in acrylics and produce functional art pieces such as cheese boards and tile trvets, which are sold at various places in the south west.
I am a member of the Peppermint Grove Beach Art Group and enjoy participating in art exhibitions with this eclectic group of artists. I have participated in the ‘Capel Makers Trail ‘ opening my studio and garden for last years inaugural event. This year I will join with my Art group and exhibit in the Peppermint Grove Beach Community Centre.
I have exhibited widely within the South West for the last two years at exhibitions in Cowaramup Harvey, Pemberton, Boyup Brook, Myalup, Newdegate, Donnybrook,Busselton and at Peppermint Grove Beach.
I am pleased to have the opportunity to exhibit my work at the Vasse Art Awards.
